The plain-language terms
These are the ground rules for using FunctionalHealth Connect. We wrote them the way we write everything else here: simply, so you can actually read them.
This is education, not medical care
FunctionalHealth Connect is an educational recovery-support product. It offers information, gentle daily structure, and a community. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe anything. Nothing here replaces your doctor, your nurses, or your care team, and nothing here is personal medical advice.
If something feels like an emergency, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988. For questions about symptoms, medications, or treatment, contact your care team. Always follow their guidance over anything you read here.
Your account
Your account is yours alone. Please use your real information, keep your password to yourself, and let us know if you think someone else has gotten into it. You can close your account whenever you like from your profile. When you do, we delete your data.
Being a good neighbor
The community here is made of people in recovery and the people who care for them. Be kind. Don't harass anyone, don't pretend to be someone you're not, and don't give other members medical advice. Share your experience instead.
Please also don't misuse the platform itself: no breaking in, scraping, spamming, or posting anything illegal. We may remove content or close accounts that put other members at risk.
Your words and your data
What you write, including your logs, your posts, and your notes, belongs to you. By posting in the community, you let us show your post to other signed-in members; that's all the permission we take. You can download everything we hold, or delete your account entirely, from your profile.
How we handle your data is covered in our privacy page. The short version: we keep as little as we can, and we never sell it.
Honest limits
We work hard to keep the platform accurate, available, and safe, but we can't promise it will always be perfect or uninterrupted. It's provided "as is." Because this is an educational tool and not medical care, decisions about your health should always rest with you and your care team. We are not responsible for outcomes of relying on educational content in place of professional care.
If we ever need to change these terms, we'll update this page and note the date below. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.
